Our vacation to the island of <a title="Boracay" href="http://www.myboracayguide.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Boracay</span></span></a> was our first voyage together and with some bunch of friends. Ultimately not a bad way to start our traveling dreams.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Davao to Ilo-ilo via Cebu Pacific</strong></span></p>
<p>We first booked a flight to <a title="Ilo-ilo" href="http://www.exploreiloilo.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Ilo-ilo</span></span> </a>via<span style="color: #ff0000;"><a title="Cebu Pacific" href="http://www.cebupacificair.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Cebu Pacific Air</span></a></span> online. A friend of ours who had online booking experience helped us get our tickets which roughly costs us around ₱3,600 on a round-trip ticket for two. It was a promo fare so it saved us a few peso for this one.  The regular one-way air fare from Davao to Ilo-ilo via <a title="Cebu Pacific" href="http://www.cebupacificair.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Cebu Pacific Air</span></span></a> would normally be around ₱1,500-₱3,000 and that&#8217;s for one person only.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="color: #339966;"><strong>DAY 1:</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We left Davao City exactly 7:45am. After a short time travel we arrived at Iloilo Airport at exactly 8:50am.  After landing, we directly embarked on a taxi to meet our two friends at <a title="Ted's Oldtimer Lapaz Batchoy" href="http://www.tedslapazbatchoy.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Ted’s Oldtimer Lapaz Batchoy</span></span></a> near tagbak terminal and have our breakfast as well.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0006.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-444" title="_DSC0006" src="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0006-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a>After our swift breakfast, we choose Ceres Bus liner and by 10am we left Iloilo. It can take you to Caticlan (fare: <strong><em>350</em></strong><em>pesos</em>) with travel time of around 6 hours and half hour with at least three stop overs.  For schedule and other information please<span style="color: #ff00ff;"> <a title="Click" href="http://www.exploreiloilo.com/iloilo-jeepney-and-bus-transportation-guide.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff00ff;">click</span></a></span>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">During this travel, I am not planning to sleep since it’s my first time to take that route and I should enjoy the road trip views.  We traveled on a good and clean roads with small traffic through untouched, peaceful scenery of emergent beach, vivid lime colour rice fields with high mountains in the surroundings. We passed by some nice-looking small towns with impeccable plazas, old churches and schools.  We crossed different towns of Panay island provinces Iloilo, Capiz and Aklan. From there we stopover at the Kalibo terminal and continued our way to Caticlan.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Finally, after a long exhausted journey we arrived at Caticlan Port exactly 4:30pm. From there we had paid <strong><em> 30</em></strong><strong><em>pesos</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong>for the <em>boat fare </em>to the island plus <em>terminal fee</em> <strong><em>50</em></strong><strong><em>pesos</em></strong><strong> </strong>and <em>environmental fee</em> <strong><em>75</em></strong><em>pesos</em><strong>. </strong>It took another 30minutes to finally arrive in Boracay Island. From the port, since we are seven (7) we rented Multicab (250pesos) going to Station 2.   <a href="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0020.jpg"><img class="alignright wp-image-443" title="_DSC0020" src="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0020-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="160" height="240" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Since the travel drained much of our energy we had our quick merienda first before looking for a place to stay. After awhile one local offered us an affordable hotel that will fit 7 people in one room.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So, we settled on<span style="color: #ff9900;"> <a title="Sun Woo Jung Formerly Loveholic Resort" href="http://www.myboracayguide.com/resorts/boracay-hotel-Loveholic-Place-139.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ff9900;">Sun Woo Sung Formerly Loveholic Resort</span></a></span> Family room for only 4,500pesos / night and paid 9,000pesos since we will stay there for 2 nights. The rooms were good, clean, swimming pool is lovely and had free wireless internet (ask them for the password when you check-in). The good part was the breakfast for 6 pax included with our stay.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>We opted to lighten up and take a plunge first in the swimming pool. It was 6:30pm that we come to a decision to have our dinner.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0050.jpg"><img class="wp-image-445 alignleft" title="_DSC0050" src="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0050-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="243" height="161" /></a>We order grilled squid, prawn and lobster in butter and fried garlic, and we have our grilled clams and oyster for free. After a sumptuous dinner, we just went strolling about the beach, exploring the place.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>We then saw the fire dancers, we had to give small amount to capture photo with the fire dancer in front of us.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0097.jpg"><img class="alignright wp-image-447" title="_DSC0097" src="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0097-199x300.jpg" alt="" width="170" height="256" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Its 9pm that boys started with beers then girls opted to have ladies drink with vodka I can’t remember the whole name of that drink. They also happen to offer the longest happy hour at Boracay<strong> </strong>which is from 2-8PM. Alright so,I decided to smoke some shisha (out of curiousity) and I must say&#8230;Nothing tastes good.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>For such a little island, Boracay presents plenty of nightlife. Starting from laid back seats where you can rest, to infinite selection of eating places, continuous shoreline festivity, live bands or to just drink the night away.We were able to experience the grand Boracay<strong> </strong>nightlife.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>It was 2am that we came back in our hotel and I am so damn drunk. Finally, we get enough sleep and we need to take some rest after a tiring trip earlier that day so that we will still have lots of energy for the next day ahead.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0139.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-448 alignnone" title="_DSC0139" src="http://www.devbeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/DSC0139-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a> to be continue <img src='http://www.devbeans.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
